Welcome to Les Saisies!
Les Saisies is a champion breeding ground. Their Ambassador, Franck Piccard, was an Olympic champion in alpine skiing.
"My first memory of the Espace Diamant is one of my fondest! The first time I skied the area, I was delighted. The resort takes on a new dimension making skiing here both unique and memorable!
The Espace Diamant ski area boasts easy access and wide open spaces for every level of skier. 90% of the slopes are tree-lined and there are no dangerous parts. From the summits and ridges one can enjoy exceptional views of the surrounding mountains ".
The Nordic ski area in Les Saisies stretches over 120 kilometres and its high quality trails are renowned internationally. They hosted the Nordic events during the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville.
Raphaël Poirée, 7 times World Biathlon Champion and Nordic Ambassador here in Les Saisies explains “ Cross-country skiing in Les Saisies is better than in Norway. In Les Saisies there is more snow, more sunshine, more light and it isn’t as cold as in Scandinavia. The Nordic area is situated at altitude and one has a superb view of the surrounding mountains and the Mont-Blanc. Here, there is something to please everyone. It’s an ideal resort for families”!
Then there are all the little extras that make Les Saisies memorable: dog sledding, snow-shoeing, walking, the Mountain Twister and the Enchanted Forest. Children love Les Saisies and their parents do too! End the day with a traditional meal and enjoy the local Beaufort cheese, the pride of this region that also gave it its name.
